Vipers Take Down Vito's |

The Kensington Vipers lead the Moncton Vito's 3-0 after the first period in the second game of the 2012 Don Johnson Cup. Spencer Montgomery has a pair of unassisted goals while Kyle Doucette has the other mark from Jeremy Jollimore and Logan Garnhum. Shots after one period are 13-10 in favor of the Vito's.
The Vipers got a goal from Brett Hogan to go ahead 4-2 just 18 seconds into the middle frame, but the Vito's responded with goals from Luc Williams and Josh Leblanc just 34 seconds apart to cut the lead to 4-2 with 20 minutes to play. Shots are 25-21 in favor of the Vito's.
The Moncton Vito's beat down the door, firing 18 third period shots but could not beat Travis Willis. John Francis Ryan scores the only goal of the period on one of the Vipers five third period shots to close the game out at 5-2. Willis was named the player of the game for the Vipers, while Josh Leblanc took the award for the Vito's. The second game of the day will start in approximately 45 minutes and features the Mt.Pearl Blades and the East Hants Penguins. |
